The Professional Wetland Scientist Insurance Program has been set up
to facilitate low-cost Professional Liability Insurance for our members.
Insurance Program Disclaimers:
- The facilitation of the Insurance Program does not constitute an endorsement by The
Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program (SWS-PCP) of any
individual or corporation providing insurance coverage in the program,
- SWS-PCP reserves the right to terminate the association between itself and any
individual or corporation providing insurance coverage in the program,
- SWS-PCP reserves the right to associate with and/or add other insurance agents, carriers
and/or providers as SWS-PCP may deem appropriate, however, this does not mean that SWS-PCP
will associate any and/or all insurance agents, carriers and/or providers.
Insurance Program Requirements:
The SWS-PCP Insurance Program has been facilitated in order to identify low
cost, industry standard, professional liability insurance for any member that might desire
such coverage. Therefore, as this program is being facilitated by the Certification
Program, the following requirements to this coverage include:
- Coverage is limited to those individuals that qualify as "member in good
standing" of the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program, as
defined by SWS-PCP Bylaws and Standing Rules, OR
- Corporations and organizations employing such "members-in-good standing" of
the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program, as defined by
SWS-PCP Bylaws and Standing Rules, on a full-time basis, and
- Coverage will be terminated unless the insured party reinstates one of the two
membership conditions, above, within thirty (30) days following written notice from the
Society.
